I completely understand where you are comming from, and i agree.
Problem comes down to, the way the plans are CODED into the system.
For them to be able to apply that new price.. its tied to a package / code. The price is just not something arbitrarily added to the end and can be directly modified. It has to be the set price on the on the plan/a discount applied afterwards.
For that price/plan to be added to your system.. its tied to the MODEM on the account. They are not able to apply the plan without that modem on the account.
(I am not saying this is RIGHT or WRONG way of doing it.. just the way the system currently works)
So without a hardware change... sort of stuck... a CSR couldnt chagne it, even if they wanted to. :(

Generally, i found the hardware change seamless for me here at least..
well.. generally. Tech had to swap the modem once before he left.. since the first one had a dead lan port on it, but that could happen with ANY unit.
