Complaint.

Alright, I've been with Rogers for...gosh, I can't even remember how long. I've always been with Rogers for as long as I've had Wi-Fi.

 

I am NOT looking to fix any problem, I'd just like to voice my opinion about your service & customer support.

 

The Wi-Fi Itself

I pay for high speed, unlimited usage Wi-Fi. I have had this same plan for years. I am supposed to be getting upwards of 40mb/s download speed, yet even with a very expensive modem, I still only get around 15mb/s. I've had 3 technicians come to my home recently, and only one of them did something. He said we were on a bad channel or something along the lines of that.

So, he changed the channel. It was fine - for 48 hours. Then it went back to being extremely slow.

 

Weeks later, the problem seemed to fix itself. Then one day I had no connection at all, that lasted about 8 hours before it fixed itself again. I've had too many problems to count since then, but currently, I am experiencing disconnections that last for about 3-5 seconds, and they happen at random times. Sometimes it'll be in rapid succession, other times I can go half an hour without one disconnection.

 

I called Rogers customer support on Saturday, they suggested I upgrade my modem. So I did. The problem got worse.

 

I am not the only person with this problem. Numerous peers of mine have said the same thing is happening to them.

 

Basically, I'm pretty sure your servers are terrible.

Downright outrageous. Every single time I call, it's either "we'll send a technician out, he'll be there in 4-8 days" or "you should get a new router/modem and check your computer for viruses"

 

Are you serious? I've gone through over 10 routers & modems now. I don't know why I keep conforming to the suggestion, because NEVER has it worked.

 

Rogers is horrible
