Unless its back end issues.. which is not likely since you are OK on wired..

Its likely just the wireless on that unit.

I have that exact gateway.. still in gateway, with the wireless off.. and my our router as an access point (an alternative to doing bridge mode).. and i dont have any issues at all.. full speed when connected to the wireless on my wireless router and having the SMC do the routing.

So.. bridging or a AP setup, would be your best bet, i think.
