Just so you know, there is a recent Asus router vulnerability that should have been patched by now. If you run a search for the terms asus router firmware fix you should come across various articles that detail the problem. Check to see if there is a firmware update for the router that you purchased, complete the update and lock down the router by changing any default passwords, and ensuring that remote administration, Cloud, and FTP options are set to off if they're not needed. This is important if you intend to run the rogers modem in bridged mode and rely on the Asus router firewall to protect your internal network. I run my Cisco DCP-3825 in its normal modem/router mode but turn off the wireless and run a separate wireless router. Never had any problems in that configuration. Maybe someone can answer this....does the firewall on modem/router still operate when the device is in bridged mode, or is the device just a straight through modem, requiring the services of another router with firewall for internal network protection? Just curious.....
