I would agree. Get a tech out.. they can replace the splitter as needed, put in a newer smaller one, or just straight connections, etc.
And as per the mention above by the one tech, to swap back to a CGN2... you would run into issue then, that you would not be able to get the higher tier services.
150 or above services REQUIRE the CGN3 now.
(this is to prevent congestion on those higher demand tiers... which other companies only with 8x channel modems are starting to have)
