I am wondering if Vivienm's theory maybe correct. That they could not access it, as the firmware on the unit may not be correct and not be provisioning properly and getting the right channel settings, etc

well had the rogers tech here for the third time. he had failed to change the power cavle when he changed the modem. the original guy who installed the modem for us apparently used the wrong power...

Lol, true The Cisco all in all was a decent unit, but I have been very pleased so far with the cgn3 (above the 24 channel bonus). Luckily everything I own is gigabit
