Is it weird that part of my daily morning routine now is to log into the interface of my modem and see if the version number has changed? LOL

More than likely customers would not see the new firmware for a few weeks after Rogers has received it from the manufacturer as they would likely want to do some QA testing before release.

Hi, today is the third or fourth day that I am unable to access my Internet Usage as well. I called in and they transferred me 5 times. I spoke to 3 technicians via phone and 2 online. Each of them...

It seems like there is no one really you can talk to, about web page visibility issues..A tech support person should be able to look up your usage.. but not as to WHY the usage is not there. I am able...

What I still don't get is how did Rogers and/or Hitron not notice this before it was deployed in the field? Surely they would do testing in the lab? Or do they play around with the equipment so much...
View ArticleRe: Keep needing to reboot CGN3
I think it's really Hitron that dropped the ball here. Rogers purchased a large volume of these things based on the fact that it works on their network specifications. Hitron was given this spec, and...

Yup, this is about the level I have come to expect from Rogers. We have a Cable box dangling from a Poll, but because of the trees around it, it is a health and safty issue to get to to repair, so, it...

If its just a direct NAT problem.. this can occur, yes on the NAT built into the cisco router... but can really happen on ANY router. There are many people who use a 3rd party router, and sometimes run...

Both Xboxes will be trying to use the same uPnP ports on the router if it is enabled. I do not have the same router so I cant look at the config but you would need to map Upnp to use different ports...
View ArticleRe: Cisco DPC3825 and xbox 360 need help
Actually there is no option to control or Map ports for Upnp. As Gdkitty mentioned turning on DMZ access and putting 1 of your Xbox's IP (should make static IP or dhcp reservation) should prevent it...

Thanks for the info. Much appreciated.
View ArticleRe: CGN3 (Rogers Advanced WiFi Modem) "DNS" issues
You need either the Cisco or the Hitron CGN2 to use 150/10. The SMC is a 4x4 only device and Rogers will only provision it on Extreme Plus or lower.
